Halloween Party

All dressed up and on my way to the city. After 30 minutes of trying to find parking I finally scored a sweet spot!
Joining the party, a group was already deep into a game of Cards Against Humanity.
Lots of food and drink. I came with Whipped Vanilla Vodka but when I got there Erik had no mixers so I convinced him to drink it straight up with me. Well after a few sips of that I asked Wes to go with me to get some OJ. Poor Erik drank the whole thing straight up.
Once the drinks were all handled I jumped in a game of Dixit with Rob & Martha McCreary and Jessica Price. I was pretty decent at getting someone to vote for mine but I was horrible at choosing what other's were putting down so I think I came in last. But it was fun.
I spent some time talking with Chris Pramas and Jefferson Dunlap getting to know them. They seem like decent people. It is always interesting to hear how people got into the industry.
Then we all went into the theater to play some rock band. My singing credits include "So What" by Pink, "Dream On" by Aerosmith, "Jimmy Jazz" by the Clash, "Symphony of Destruction" by Megadeath, "Blue" by Eiffel 65, and a few more.
Don't worry Bulmahn and Elliot both jumped in on the Rock Band Action.
This is Wes and I trying to take a decent picture in the dark theater. We took like 15 shots or something using both my Android and his IPhone with little luck. Poor Daigle was getting tired of being our photographer.
So we just let loose and this was the candid shot he got. Perfect!
Here are some cool shots of the city on the way home on the ferry :) Happy Halloween!

Dwarven Forge

I got my box of Dwarven Forge in a few days ago but just got the chance to open it tonight! The kids helped unpack it and then played with it for about two hours before I finally said it was bedtime. They really liked that I had a castle and dungeon now for them to play with the reaper minis.  Nothing like getting a toy dungeon for your daughters instead of a toy doll house!

A Night Out

So one of the cool things about my job is the people I get to work with and interact with. Several of us live up here in the Seattle area so Jonathan Nelson from Adventure a Week suggested some of us get together every once in a while. So this month we went to Brouwer's Cafe.

Now Brouwer's Cafe is a very cool place. From the outside it looks like a warehouse. The door is a heavy wood door on the inside but painted plainly on the outside making it tough to tell if it is even an entrance or an emergency exit. The inside though is gorgeous. A wooded interior with oak tables and a long bar filled with taps. The upstairs has an open second floor overlooking the main hall, making it feel like the interior of a castle.

Scott Gable from Zombie Sky Press got us a table upstairs where we got to sit at the "round table" My co-worker Jason Nelson joined us as did Jason Bulman, Wes Schneider, and Adam Daigle from Paizo.

We had a great time talking non business stuff like, um, cow tipping and paintballing zombies. You know, only the important stuff. lol

I enjoyed the cheese tray (Abbaye St. Mere raw cow, France; Ibores raw goat, Spain; Fourme D’ Ambert French Bleu; Cana de Cabra soft goat, Spain. Local wildflower honey and sea salted walnuts, dates, crackers) and the Belgian Pommes Frites. The Bourbon Dragon Sauce was awesome! I really liked the Seattle Cider Co. Pumpkin Spice Cider too :)

I want you!

So while the government is shutdown some of us still have work to do. I have been very busy at mine! And that is the reason I need you, to help me spread the word and support our project!

Legendary Games is running a campaign to raise funds to print our products and ultimately get them into game stores. We will begin with the Gothic Adventure Path Series which has received raved reviews.

We are running our Kickstarter for only 2 weeks, ending on October 20th 2013 and asking for 13,000 to fund the initial print run and shipping charges. If you are a fan of Pathfinder Adventure Path this is one project you don't want to miss.

Legendary Games is committed to bringing you — the busy GM or player — the absolute best 3rd party support for your Pathfinder campaign. To deliver on that commitment, we’ve assembled the best of the best of current gaming authors, designers and layout experts such as Superstar design contest winners Neil Spicer and Matt Goodall and finalists like Clinton Boomer, Jim Groves, Jason Nelson, and Russ Taylor, industry veterans like Greg Vaughan, Tim Hitchcock, and Clark Peterson, and stellar new talent like Todd Stewart, Tom Phillips, and Jonathan Keith.

Slipping, Kickstarters, and Halloween

So I know I've been slipping on posting on my blog. Truth is other than watching a few "geeky" shows I haven't had much time to geek out. I've been longing to paint my reaper minis with no luck. AND now they have a new Kickstarter for Bones II! Are you in on it? I literally just lost out on the last spot on the first wave. When I backed it, it said 1 spot left but by the time it got to the financial page it was sold out so I'm in wave 2, not bad huh?

So I'm excited and bummed about the Reaper KS. Excited cause I love the Bones and it is just going to be Epic all over again. Bummed that we at Legendary Games have a small kickstarter planned for late next week. A little stressed at going up against the big dog. Still we are asking for a modest amount so hopefully we will have success.

Enough about Kickstarter. Life in work has been busy but home life has equally been busy too. This month is already packed full. I have my Star Trek costume for Halloween shipping soon. Should I share here on the blog? For trick or treating however looks like I will be the Evil Queen from Snow White while my kids will be apples.

Well I thought I would just stop in and say I haven't forgotten about my blog!
